How Roof Hawk Started
We began by carrying out drone roof surveys for homeowners who needed a better way to understand what was happening on their roofs.
As the business grew, the same problem kept appearing in different forms. Surveyors needed better views for their assessments. Property managers needed to investigate difficult roofs without arranging expensive access. Larger organisations needed a practical way to inspect many buildings consistently.
Roof Hawk has grown by listening to those customers and finding better ways to solve those problems. We’re proud of the team we’ve built around that approach, bringing together experienced pilots, property expertise and people who care about delivering a really good service.

Today, Roof Hawk works across everything from individual homes and professional surveying instructions to large property portfolios and complex historic buildings.
Our work has included councils, housing organisations, surveyors, property managers and major organisations, alongside programmes covering hundreds of properties and surveys of the Houses of Parliament.
The scale has changed, but our approach hasn’t. We want every customer to receive useful imagery, careful planning, good communication and a service they can rely on.

Our platform helps us plan and manage surveys efficiently, process and organise large volumes of imagery, keep a clear record for each property and make that information easy to share or use within our customers’ existing systems. We’re continually improving it as the needs of our customers develop.
We use AI and automation where appropriate to make the service faster and more efficient, while professional judgement remains with experienced people. The technology supports the roofing contractors, chartered surveyors and other professionals whose expertise gives the imagery meaning, rather than replacing them.
Our aim is simple: help people understand their buildings earlier, make better maintenance decisions and avoid unnecessary cost wherever possible. Technology should make that experience simpler, not less personal.
