The survey
A Clear View of Your Roof, Without Scaffolding
You shouldn’t have to guess what’s happening on your roof. Our drone surveys are a faster, safer and more affordable alternative to putting up scaffolding for an inspection. There’s also no need for someone to walk across the roof simply to inspect it, reducing the risk of damaging tiles or other roof coverings.

Our pilots use high-performance drones with advanced cameras, selecting the right equipment for your property. We capture detailed 4K video and still images, giving you the clarity to make confident decisions about maintenance, leaks or a property purchase. For help understanding what the images show, we can also arrange a written report with practical advice on repairs and maintenance. Tell us what’s prompted the survey and we’ll talk through the best way to help.
“I have had fantastic service, the video was amazing and it even identified some additional issues we didn’t even know we had with our solar panel wires. So the survey has paid for itself a few times over!”

Before You Arrange a Survey
Do I need to be at the property?
Usually not. For many surveys we can operate from the street or another suitable nearby position, so you do not need to be at the property when we attend.
How long does a survey take?
A typical terraced house takes around 30 minutes on site. Larger or more complex roofs take longer. We’ll discuss your timeframe and arrange the visit around weather and any flight permissions.
How soon can you complete the drone survey?
We can usually schedule the survey as soon as you need it. In an emergency we can often fly the same or next day, subject to weather and National Air Traffic Services (NATS) permissions. More typically we schedule within one to two weeks. After filming, the images are normally ready by the next day. Written reports typically follow a few days after.
Will a survey show why my roof is leaking?
The drone survey typically shows visible damage that helps explain the problem. Please note some causes are concealed, water can travel within a roof, and damp is sometimes caused internally, so further investigation may be needed. Tell us where the problem appears so we can advise you on the best approach and focus on the relevant roof areas.
Can I use a drone survey for insurance?
Yes, insurers typically accept drone roof surveys. We often get positive feedback from insurance brokers on the quality of our reports. We’d always advise confirming with yours that a drone survey is acceptable before proceeding.
Can I use a drone survey when purchasing a house?
Yes. The images show the condition of a roof you cannot see from the ground, before you commit to buying. You can share the link with your own surveyor as part of a Level 3 survey, or we can arrange an expert opinion and written report covering the condition of the roof and any maintenance required.
Is permission required to complete the drone survey?
Nothing you need to arrange. Our pilots are CAA qualified and we handle the permissions and planning for every flight, including anything the location requires. A number of areas in London sit within restricted flight zones, which need additional permission from National Air Traffic Services (NATS). We arrange that too, though it typically adds a seven-day wait. If we do need something from you, such as access to a garden to take off from, we’ll ask well before the visit.
